Bio: I moved to Boise in 1994 from Lander Wyoming where I grew up in the Wind River Mountains. I attended Boise State University and graduated with a degree in History Secondary Education in 2009. I then attended Walden University to study mental health counseling and completed a master's degree in 2013. I started my journey working as a CBRS worker and substitute teaching while working on my graduate degree. My first job out of college as a counselor was working as a supervisor at The Idaho Suicide and Crisis Hotline where I helped volunteers with crisis calls. This was rewarding and fit with my niche in crisis work. I have worked in two Private Practice settings before going out on my own in 2022. I am passionate about my community and I love the people and culture of Boise. In my approach with clients I focus on core issues and have skills and techniques that give hope and healing to individuals suffering in some challenging situations in life I use science-based techniques that I have learned to apply with education, specific training, and life experience of being a counselor for 12 years. In my practice, I welcome diversity, including all ethnic backgrounds, sexual minorities, and religious or spiritual beliefs. It is my priority to treat clients with respect and compassion.
